NaNoWriMo 2017 began on November 1st and I was behind from the start.
The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50,000 words in the month of November. It came be a brand new novel or one already working on. You “win” by hitting that 50k goal. I had decided to use this as the motivation to finally finish the next Taleweaver’s Song book, The Orc Plains. I work better under a deadline and this would be a good way to push me.
You need to average 1,667 words a day to hit the 50k goal. It started on the 1st of the month and I had to travel for work that day. Up at 4:30 in the morning to catch a 6:00 flight and didn’t land until 10:00 that night with a 45 minute drive home from the airport.
So yeah, got no writing down that day.
I’m behind, but catching up.
Currently I’m at 8,737 words. The NaNoWriMo site has me hitting the goal by December 11th.
I have some catching up to do. I have faith that I’ll hit the goal.
