Beyond the March of Cobra, I was working on other Joe projects that were stand alone, not connecting to any other work.
The Blackjack Tales
A character I created for The March of Cobra as an entry in a contest by Hasbro, where the winning character would be made into an action figure. Blackjack didn’t win but I loved the concept. The Baroness’ history is spotty and never went into how she learned the skills she had. That was where Blackjack came in. More mentor and trainer then bodyguard.

They say you can’t fight aging. They just didn’t fight hard enough.
Blackjack just spent ten years in a Russian Prison deep in Siberia. The world and the person he was sworn to protect have changed in that time and now the mercenary has to find out how he fits in this strange new world.
If he even still can.
Age catches up with all of us and it’s running alongside Blackjack. An assignment to a small island in Indonesia might be just what he needs. But others have been there before and the mystery of the island just might prove to be too much.
